Basic Information

La Soufrière ("sulfur outlet" in French) is St. Vincent's highest peak and one of the most active volcanoes in the Caribbean. The 2021 eruption blanketed much of the island in ash and created new lava domes in the crater. Our carefully planned route takes you safely to viewpoints where you can observe these dramatic changes while learning about the volcano's history from knowledgeable local guides. The hike involves approximately 4-5 hours of walking with significant elevation gain, making it suitable for those with good fitness levels.
